Lisa Pollack serves Denterlein Worldwide as an Account Director
where she has proven expertise in building client relations,
quick turnaround of clear, concise written communication, and
an abiding affection for crisis communications. Ms. Pollack
specializes in navigating the workings of municipal politics,
community-based media, and labor relations issues.
Ms. Pollack also serves as Denterlein's captain of new media
initiatives, helping clients understand and embrace the strategies
of establishing a meaningful on-line presence.
Prior to joining Denterlein Worldwide, Ms Pollack served as
the Senior Media Liaison for Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino,
where she helped shape and deliver the Menino administration's
message through the Democratic National Convention, several
election cycles, and the crisis of September 11, 2001.
As part of her responsibilities, Ms Pollack served as media
liaison for Intergovernmental Affairs, handling media at all
levels of government from the municipal to the federal level.
Ms Pollack executed the media strategy surrounding the establishment
of the Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and several important
court cases won by the City of Boston - including the eleventh-hour
order to the BPPA to open expedited contract arbitration immediately
preceding the DNC. During Mayor Menino's tenure as President
of the US Conference of Mayors, Ms Pollack secured national
coverage of Menino's agenda for protecting the economic stability
of American working families.
Ms Pollack is also an accomplished photographer whose work appeared
in the Associated Press, the Boston Globe, the Boston Phoenix,
Bass Player Magazine, and numerous Boston-area weekly publications.
Ms Pollack holds a BA from Brandeis University and professional
accreditation with honors from the New England School of Photography.
